Data Collection - Disability Service Providers
Data Reporting System
A function of the Health and Disabilities Services Office is to identify and review the causes of complaints about disability service providers and suggest ways of making service improvements.
To assist in performing this function, section 48A of the Disability Services Act 1993 and Disability Services Amendment Regulations 2015 provides the Office with the authority to request complaints data from prescribed disability service providers in Western Australia.
Data gathered provides information about the number and type of complaints received, the timeliness of providers' internal complaint resolution processes and outcomes.
From this information an annual Disability Services Data Collection Report is published.
In September 2021, the Disability Services Amendment Regulations 2021 (Regulations) were amended. These amendments enabled the transition of complaints about National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) providers to the NDIS Commission. This has resulted in the HaDSCO Disability Services Data Collection Report being discontinued, with 2020-21 being the last reporting year.
