HaDSCO and Ahpra team up to connect with Armadale community
We teamed up with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) for the City of Armadale’s Let’s Connect Expo. The event focused on community connection and empowerment, and allowed residents in the Armadale and surrounds to explore and network with community groups and service providers.
The expo showcased 81 stallholders from a range of service areas, including employment; youth, children and family; disability; seniors; multicultural; Aboriginal; health and wellbeing; emergency relief and crisis support; and volunteering.
Community presentations were also held throughout the day. HaDSCO’s own Deputy Director, Correne Bartlett, kicked off the day’s talks with a presentation about How to provide feedback on your healthcare, where to go when you have a complaint, and knowing your rights as someone accessing health services.
“The expo had a fantastic turnout, and it was wonderful talking with other stakeholders about how we can work together to support the community”, said Correne.
Colouring Competition Winner A big thank you to everyone who entered our colouring competition at the expo, and a special congratulations to Karla for winning the $100 SmartRider prize!
