Palliative Care 26 November 2020 The Health and Disability Services Complaints Office (HaDSCO) is an independent Statutory Authority offering an impartial resolution service for complaints relating to health, disability and mental health services in Western Australia and the Indian Ocean Territories. Complaints about health services include end of life and palliative care. Sarah Cowie, Director of HaDSCO, presented at the Palliative Care WA Summit on 26 November 2020. HaDSCO developed an Information Sheet: Learning from complaints about end of life and palliative care for the event which is available to download here.

Mental Health Week 2020 09 October 2020 Mental Health Week is a national week celebrated each year in October starting with World Mental Health Day on October 10. This year’s Mental Health Week theme is Strengthening Our Community – Live, Learn, Work, Play. TheMental Health Act 2014sets out the complaints HaDSCO is able to accept.
