  • Youth Action Plan Launch
Youth Action Plan Launch 17 October 2024 Last week we attended the launch of the Department of Communities WA Youth Action Plan. This three-year plan will deliver initiatives for young people across the state who are aged between 10 and 25. More than 2,200 young people were consulted to shape this plan and the most frequent issues were developed into six focus areas. These focus areas are: Amplifying young voices Climate action Achieving goals Cost of living Embracing diversity and inclusion. We are excited to contribute to this plan and to continue connecting with young people across the state. The launch of the plan provided us the opportunity to remind the young people in attendance that they have the right to safe and ethical health support. Read the full plan here.
  • HaDSCO attends National Rural Health Conference 30 September 2024 Recently we attended the 17th National Rural Health Conference to discuss how we can transform health outcomes in rural, regional and remote communities. The conference attracted nearly 1,000 delegates from across the country and provided us with the opportunity to learn more about healthcare challenges in rural communities. The event was held over three days and had over 200 speakers. When delegates weren’t listening to one of these speakers, they could learn how to weave baskets in the “CalmCorner” or chat with us at out stall. It was wonderful to take part in such important conversations, and congratulations to oursurvey competition winner!
